This morning I received an ignorant, hateful message in response to an email I sent to my contact list regarding the Cheetah Documentary and Kickstarter Campaign.
I am saddened to read this from an acquaintance. We have shared a camp at the Burning Man festival, an event that supposedly brings people together in a show of community and friendship. I wonder, if a fellow campmate shows no bones about expressing something like this, what else is out there? How many others are far worse in how they see the world they live in, and their supposed right above all other living creatures to inhabit it?
The message below is a prime example of what ignorance lies out there in the world.
I will give you $1,000 for your project if and only if you bring me back a nice cheetah tail to add to my collection, or $2,500 for a full pelt, thank you.
You got me wrong, I don’t give anyone my money. I’ll see you at the death village, I’ll be the one wearing real tails all week.
